I think I’ve heard a million different excuses as to why NOW is not the right time to get photos taken. I need to lose the baby weight, my house isn’t decorated right, wait till the kids are a little older, my house is always a mess, we’re remodeling, I know the kids won’t cooperate, I need to lose weight, my hair needs to be recolored…. The list goes on. But I really think that NOW is the best time for photos of your family. I know things aren’t quite how you want them to be, and your to do list is 3 pages long, but how great would it be to look back, years from now, at that chaos or that mess and remember what life was like then. No it wasn’t perfect, but it was your life and I’m guessing there was happiness there. Not perfection, but happiness.
I can’t even tell you how happy I was to see that Tim and Alicia were in the midst of remodeling their home and they still invited me in to document their now, plywood floors, casts and all.
